Leaders for the 21st century need more than academic skills and a high IQ. They need a mindset of infinite learning, creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical consciousness—one that must be cultivated outside the confines of the traditional classroom.

MindSpring's Emerging Leaders Development Initiative believes that by beginning the development process early, we are able to identify any “below the surface” thoughts, feelings, assumptions, and beliefs and address them by influencing participants’ “being,” not just their “doing.”

Our intensive 5-year leadership development program is specifically designed for exceptionally young Black and Brown students with character, commitment to excellence, and a high potential for leadership. This cohort-based program will challenge participants to seriously examine their ambitions, talents, and passion to lead and gain competencies to become the next generation of transformative leaders.

MPAC will engage renowned and respected political, judicial, religious, business, and entrepreneurial thought leaders from around the country to serve as mentors and consultants to program participants.
