Neighborhood Clean Up!

Memphis Partnerships Advocates for Community Development (MPAC) will launch a Neighborhood Clean Up Project beginning in September and will continue until we have completely cleaned up the entire NorthGate-Westside neighborhood of trash, garbage, tires, abandoned cars, and houses that have been abandoned or condemned.

MPAC is a Non-Profit organization created by Lorenzo Williams with the specific purpose of revitalizing Frayser’s Northgate-Westside neighborhood.  This area encompasses Frayser Blvd South to Whitney, Mario Street on the West to Thomas St on the East.

Starting in September, you can expect to see:

• Trash Dumpsters strategically placed on streets throughout the community.
  • NOTE: Residents are free to use the dumpsters. We ask only that you place trash in dumpster: not in front, on sides or behind dumpsters. Residents ONLY please.
• MPAC’s work crews working throughout the neighborhood cleaning up trash, mowing and cutting weeds, and depositing the trash in the dumpsters.
• A contracted Security Company patrolling cleaned dumping sites 24/7 to prevent illegal dumping from outsiders again. They are Unarmed Security Guards and are hired to prevent illegal dumping ONLY. Please help me to ensure their safety.
• Volunteers, volunteers, volunteers! We need everyone’s assistance with this project.

NOTE: Vacant lots will be filled with new low-income affordable homes for sale or rent to residents only. No absentee landlords.
